Activities
Activities:
The TerraBloom mobility programme combined introductory sessions, thematic workshops, practical activities, reflection, peer learning and intercultural exchange. Participants explored key topics such as soil health, composting, biodiversity, local food systems, sustainable farming and green skills for the future.
The programme was designed to balance theory and practice. Participants took part in expert-led sessions, group discussions, collaborative exercises and experiential learning moments that helped connect environmental knowledge with youth work methodology. The project also included reflection spaces, where participants could exchange impressions, discuss learning points and consider how to adapt the ideas to their own organisations.
Alongside the educational programme, the mobility created opportunities for networking and intercultural dialogue. Participants shared perspectives from their own countries and organisations, building stronger connections and a sense of shared purpose across the partnership.
Learning Outcomes
TerraBloom helped participants strengthen both their knowledge and their practical competences. They deepened their understanding of sustainable development, sustainable agriculture, composting, biodiversity, food systems and environmentally responsible behaviour.
The project also supported the development of transversal skills that are highly relevant in youth work, including communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, initiative, leadership and project planning. Through group-based learning and international collaboration, participants further improved their intercultural competence and their ability to work across different contexts.
In addition to knowledge and skills, the project encouraged positive attitudes and behaviours. Participants were motivated to think more critically about sustainability, to value cooperation and to explore how nature-based learning can be used to engage young people in inclusive and meaningful ways.
